Challenge:42 – July 29th to 31st

Challenge:42 is a Guiness World Record attempt at the longest ever 5-aside match, played between only 2 teams, each with a maximum of 8 players per squad. The GWR claim reference is 332984.

The record has recently been attempted on several ocassions and to date the record stands at a whopping 40 hours set in Newcastle in May 2011- Challenge:42 will seek to beat this by going past the 42 hour mark!!!

The event will begin on Friday 29th July 2011 at 6pm, and will finish sometime after midday on Sunday 31st!!

The event is kindly being hosted by the Goals 5-aside centre in Woodley near Reading, for whom we are very grateful- a massive thank you to Pete Priddle from Goals for making this happen!

The match will be between The Reading CMV Royals and The Free Kicks Posh teams and is raising money for ourselves and CMV Support .

We would like to thank Victor Schooling for organising this event and we are still looking for players for The Posh team, send an email to steve@freekicksfoundation.org if you are interested in taking part.

Keep an eeye on the Challenge:42 website for more information as the event gets closer.
