The 2nd annual football match between a Free Kicks Select XI and Peterborough United Supporters Football Club (PUSFC) took place on a roasting hot day in May. The match took place at Daimler Avenue in Yaxley, as Yaxley FC’s pitch at Leading Drove was being relaid.
Last year the Free Kicks team was victorious in a tight game, this year’s game was slightly more one sided! PUSFC adapted better to the baking conditions and rock hard pitch to run out 13-1 winners!
Huge thanks to both sets of players for taking part, especially Jon Willis who travelled from Clacton for the game. Also thanks to Swanny from the Evening Telegraph for reffing the game and Paul Noble and son of Swanny for running the line.
