The first of two Kicks on successive Saturdays at London Road took place this weekend with Aidan, who will be 7 years old this week, having the honour of being mascot for The Posh in the League 1 match with Exeter City.
Aidan, who was nominated by staff at Peterborough City Hospital, came along with his Mum, Dad and sister Hannah. After receiving his new kit the day started for Aidan with a trip to the dressing room to meet the team including his favourite player George Boyd and the country’s top goalscorer, Craig Mackail-Smith.
The tour of the ground continued with a trip to the Referee’s dressing room and a visit to the Executive Boxes in the family stand and was rounded off in the boardroom.
Then it was time for a kick-about on the pitch with the other mascots before leading the team out on the pitch ahead of the 3-0 victory for The Posh.
As always we would like to thank everybody at Peterborough United for their hospitality, particularly mascot co-ordinator Simon Morby, who does a fantastic job with the mascots.
