Brody was nominated by Mark Lund to be our mascot at the game between Peterborough United and Colchester United. Mark’s son Alfie suffers from the same condition as Brody, a rare chromosome disorder called MECP2 Duplication syndrome. The Alfie Lund fund is doing great work raising awareness of MECP2, including collecting as many football shirts and scarves as they can, in order to form a chain that they then take to matches all around the country.
Brody came along to London Road with mum Sharon and visited the dressing room, where he met the players and had the opportunity to hold the match ball, before he was pushed out on to the pitch by Posh mascot Peter Burrow. Many of the players wore MECP2 wristbands during the game.
Thank you to all at Peterborough United for helping to arrange a special day for Brody and Mark for nominating him.
