Our penultimate Peterborough United mascot of the season was Charlie from South Bretton in the city. Charlie was nominated by Michelle King from Little Miracles.
Charlie came along with sister Katie, aunt Karen and his grandad. We met them in reception and soon headed up to the David Seaman Suite where Charlie put on his new Posh kit and watched as the crowds arrived, although he seemed equally interested in the trains crossing the bridge into Peterborough Railway Station. Charlie and the other mascots were given a run down of their day ahead by mascot co-ordinator Simon, before we headed down to the dressing room to meet the players. Pictures were taken and autographs were obtained and Charlie grinned through the whole of the experience. We continued with the rest of the tour, referee’s room, a chance to sit on the bench and a visit to the Executive boxes and gym in the family stand, before ending up in the boardroom.
There was just time for a quick drink before the chance of a kick about on the pitch with Simon and the other mascots and finally scoring a penalty in front of the London Road End. Charlie came out on to the pitch with our ambassador and Posh goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik and then took his seat in the stand to watch as his team came from behind to beat the league leaders 2-1.
We would like to thank all at Peterborough United for their hospitality and Michelle from Little Miracles for nominating Charlie.
