Charlie’s Kick – Walsall v Peterborough United

We have enjoyed working with several Football Community Trusts this season, donating packages to disadvantaged children that they have worked with on their projects with local schools and other groups. Walsall Community Trust was the latest of these partnerships; we linked up with Adam Davy who was happy to select young Charlie to be mascot at the game against Posh, just after Christmas.

We were invited along to meet Charlie and his family before he started the afternoon’s activities, and were delighted to meet him, his dad and grandad at the ground. He went on to enjoy a three course meal, followed by a tour of the Banks Stadium, plus the chance to meet the Walsall players in the dressing room. Finally Charlie was able to lead the teams out onto the pitch and take part in the pre-match handshakes. The club also provided him with many souvenirs of his day, including a signed match ball.

Our thanks go to Adam Davy, the Community Trust, Gemma Park and all at the football club, for creating such an exciting day for Charlie.
