We made the short trip to Nottingham for our first ever Kick at the City Ground, at the game between Nottingham Forest and Peterborough United. David was our mascot for the day, after being nominated by Nottinghamshire Hospice.
David came along with mum, dad and brother for his VIP day. We met the family on a bitterly cold afternoon in the Robin Hood Suite at the ground, where they were due to have a meal before David started his mascot duties. He had chance to visit the players in the dressing room and met his favourite player, Dexter Blackstock, before having a kickabout on the pitch with the other mascots and being interviewed on the tannoy to tell the crowd his prediction for the game.
David then led the team out in front of 22,000 people before taking his seat with the rest of his family to watch as Forest ran out 2-1 winners.
Thank you to all at Nottingham Forest for their fantastic hospitality, as well as Kia and Rebecca at the hospice for nominating David for his special day out!
