We travelled north for our first ever Kicks at Gigg Lane, home of Bury FC. We met Ethan and Harrison, who had been nominated by Bury FC in The Community, in the Club Shop where we bought them both their new Shakers kits. After changing into their kits, it was time to head back into the stadium and straight to the dressing rooms to meet the players and both boys had pictures with the players, including Leon Clarke. Next to was a trip to manager, David Flitcroft’s office to discuss tactics and collect more pictures and autographs.
Harrison, whose birthday it was on the day, was feeling a bit poorly and the weather was awful, so he didn’t take part in the kickabout on the pitch, but Ethan braved the pouring rain to spend some time on the soggy turf.
The boys then went back down the tunnel before leading the teams out ahead of the home side’s 3-1 win.
Thanks to Lynne Kent and everybody at Bury FC for making it such a great evening.
