Hamza’s Kick – Chelsea v Everton

Our 75th and final Kick of the season took place at Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea, for their game with Everton. Hamza, who is visually and hearing impaired, was nominated by Sam Easton, his head of year at de Ferriers Academy in Burton Upon Trent. Sam nominated Hamza for ‘his effort and attitude throughout his education’ . Due to his family circumstances and impairments he had never had the chance to see his beloved team.

We arranged for Hamza to go along with his mum, as well as Sam and his guest, to be treated to hospitality in the Captain’s Bar in the plush West Stand at The Bridge. We met the party at the stadium a couple of hours before kick off, we weren’t sure if Sam or Hamza were the most excited at this time!

Before heading into the ground we took Hamza into the megastore and bought him a new Chelsea shirt with his favourite player, Eden Hazard’s name on the back. Then Hamza and his guests headed off through the Spackman entrance to enjoy their day.

We received a lovely letter from Sam this week, saying that Hamza had ‘an amazing day out and the time of his life’

One Response to Hamza’s Kick – Chelsea v Everton

  1. Steve Tucker says:

Wanted to thank you for a fantastic day out that you gave us on 17 May this year t Chelsea v Everton. We had a great time with Hamza and he loved every minute of the day. He thinks his new Chelsea shirt is brilliant and is very proud of it. Sam’s grin was almost as big as Hamza’s as he is a life-long Chelsea fan but got to experience another side to being a fan that day.
    Thanks again
    Steve
