We headed north to a club new to Free Kicks at the start of March. Jack was our mascot for the Championship game between Blackburn Rovers and Peterborough United at Ewood Park.
Jack was nominated by Child Action Northwest and came along to meet us with mum Sam, uncle Stephen and his friend Isaac. We met them all outside the reception and were taken into the club shop so that Jack could get his new Rovers kit ready for his big day.
Once inside the stadium we were shown to the family friendly Strikers Lounge, where Jack played table football, table tennis and on video games, before being taken down to the dressing room to meet the players and management including his favourite, Jordan Rhodes.
Next it was time for a kick about on the pitch with the other mascots before heading down the tunnel ready to lead the team out on to the pitch. Jack then took his seat with the others to watch as the home side were beaten 3-2.
We would like to thank all at Blackburn Rovers for their help and hospitality and Child Action Northwest’s Familywise co-ordinator, Rob Dickinson, for nominating Jack for his treat.
