Jack was definitely a lucky mascot for Peterborough United as they won their first home game of the season, beating Huddersfield Town 3-1. Jack was nominated by our friends at Sue Ryder for his evening out and came along with mum Sarah, dad Todd and brother Travis.
As always first call for the experience was to receive his new kit in the David Seaman Suite and be introduced to Simon, who was going to be looking after Jack for the evening, before visiting the dressing room to meet the players, get autographs and have his picture taken with them. He was especially pleased to meet his favourite player George Boyd, who was to play a huge part in Posh’s win with an amazing goal from 45 yards!
Then it was time to tour the rest of the ground, visit the executive boxes in the family stand and also the boardroom, before a training session on the pitch, this was quite unique as Jack was the only mascot for the game. After scoring a goal at the London Road End, Jack then went back down the tunnel to get ready to come out onto the pitch for the fair play handshake before rejoining his family to watch Posh’s fantastic win!
As always we would like to thank all at Peterborough United for looking after Jack and us, and special thanks to Chris Mizon who sponsored Jack’s Kick.
