Our first Kicks for a while at Yeovil Town took place on September 20th, when we arranged for Jade and Jordan to be mascots.
Jade is 11 and was nominated to take part by Jenny, a local Community nurse. She came along on the day with mum Sue and dad Darren, later joined by her grandparents as well.
13 year old Jordan was also nominated by Jenny, for the bravery he had shown over the last few months, after suffering a devastating leg break. He fell off a rope bridge, which resulted in an open break of both his tibia and fibula. Jordan’s leg was still in a frame but he managed perfectly well on the day, even kicking the ball about on the pitch during the coaching session. He was accompanied by mum, Nyreen, brother, plus two good friends that were present when Jordan had his accident and stayed with him until help arrived.
Both of the guys had a great day, they received their Yeovil Town kits, met the players and also walked out with the teams prior to kick off.
Many thanks to nurse Jenny and all at Yeovil Town FC for another great day.
