Over the years Millwall fans have been our second biggest contributors in terms of funds raised so, to make sure we recognise their generosity, we are proud to arrange for at least one Lions fan to be mascot every season.
The mascot for the home game with Peterborough United was 12 year old James from Croydon, who was nominated by our good friends at Demelza Hospice.
James had chance to meet the Millwall players in the dressing room, have a kick about on the pitch in his new kit and then lead the players out ahead of the game. He then took his seat in the stand to watch as the Lions were beaten 5-1 by the visitors.
Thank you to everybody at Millwall for their help organising James’ evening and Demelza Hospice for nominating him. We couldn’t do this without the support of the fans of club who too often receive a bad press.
