Our first kick at the Cardiff City Stadium saw us take 9 year old Jamie Lee to be mascot for Cardiff City against Peterborough United. Jamie Lee was nominated by LATCH and came along with his grandad, sister Chloe and cousin Connor. We met them outside the ground where he had just found out that he was attending the game and going to be a mascot . We presented him with a pair of boots and shin pads and he made his way into the stadium.
Jamie Lee and his grandad were taken into the ground by mascot coordinator Joel Hutton for a tour of the stadium, which involved meeting the players and the manager Malky Mackay, before going out and having a training session out on the pitch with the other mascots. While he was inside the ground Chloe and Connor were getting photos and autographs with some of the Cardiff City players as they were arriving. After a lap of honour Jamie Lee then walked out with the teams before taking his seat to watch as the Bluebirds beat the Posh 3-1 with 3 goals in 5 minutes.
Thank you to everybody at Cardiff City for their help and making us so welcome.
