Our second Kick at London Road this season was also our first in conjunction with one of Peterborough United’s charities of the season, EACH (East Anglian Children’s Hospices). We are taking five children that are known to staff at the hospice to be Posh mascots this season. Jordan from Bretton in Peterborough was the first of these guests and he came along with his mum Abigail, auntie and brother Joshua.
We presented Jordan with his new Posh kit before he went into the home dressing room to have his picture taken with the players including skipper Grant McCann and Free Kicks ambassador George Boyd. Jordan then went along to the referee’s room before heading out of the tunnel to see the pitch. There we bumped into our great friend and Hull City player Aaron Mclean who is another of our charity ambassadors. However I do think that Jordan’s favourite part of the day was meeting Posh mascot Peter Burrow!
Just ahead of kick off Jordan went onto the pitch for the pre-match photographs before taking his seat in the stand to watch as Aaron Mclean scored the only goal of the game to give Hull City the win.
As always we can’t thank everybody at Peterborough United enough for their help and hospitality on the day.
