To complete what was one of our busiest weekends ever, we arranged for two young cousins to have an afternoon out at Watford FC, when they played Crystal Palace in late September.
Joshua and Fabio were nominated to us by Watford Mencap, another organisation we have worked with for many years. We gave them the opportunity to be team mascots for the Hornets at this Premiership game, where they loved taking part in all the usual mascot duties.
After the game, Fabio’s sister, Ana, contacted us and said “Thank you very much for Joshua and Fabio’s special experience. Both boys had an amazing time with Watford FC, and to our relief it all went smoothly, Of course we had concerns as to how they would cope with the noise and unfamiliar surroundings but, because the boys were together all the way through, they had the support and company of each other. That made all the difference as they were relaxed, because they knew each other, and everyone was very friendly towards them.
Both boys were well behaved and loved meeting all the players especially playing football on the pitch too”.
Thanks to Sarah at Watford Mencap for nominating the boys, and all at Watford FC.
