Our latest ‘Kick’ was at the Championship game between Sheffield United and Peterborough United. Kiera is 8 and comes from a family of Blades fans and was nominated by her Mum Rachel who works at Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity. Kiera has been visually impaired since she was born and regularly has to travel to hospital in both Sheffield and London for treatment.
Kiera met all of the Sheffield United players and had a tour of the ground, her name on the electric scoreboard and a kickabout on the pitch, before leading the team out ahead of their 1-0 win over Posh.
We are also grateful to Jamie and Simon from kick4change who donated 2 pairs of boots, one for Kiera to wear and one we can use for future fundraising. You can read more about the great work that kick4change do here : www.kick4change.org
