Leo was the young recipient of the first Kick at Hull City this season, at the game against Derby County. He came along with his grandmother, Carol, after being nominated by local organisation, Dove House Hospice.
Hull City always look after their mascots exceptionally well, and this was certainly no exception. Leo got the opportunity to meet all the players and manager in the dressing room, as they all arrived for the game, before getting involved in a skills session on the pitch. This was hosted by Hull furry mascots, Roary and Amber Tiger, and they made sure Leo was warmed up, ready for his important role of leading the teams out ahead of kickoff.
After the game, Carol told us, ” I would like to say a big thank you to you and all involved at the KC Stadium, for last Friday night, where Leo was a Hull City mascot. He had the time of his life and enjoyed the experience so much. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much”.
Reading feedback and comments like Carol’s, remind us how much these experiences mean to the family of the child involved, not just the recipient themselves, and we are proud and privileged to be able to do what we do.
