Lewis’ Kick – Liverpool v Leicester City

Lewis was nominated to receive a day out at Liverpool by his step-mum, afterwards we received this lovely email.

After all the emails back and forth we finally visited Anfield on New Years Day with my 11 year old Step Son, Lewis, who has Cerebral Palsy. This means he is dependant on his wheel chair to get about but has huge enthusiasm for football, and like his Dad supports Liverpool.

Lewis had never been to Anfield and trying to organise a trip is no mean feat. However I stumbled across your wonderful charity and asked if you could help. We were surprised and excited to get a reply to say that you could get us tickets.

Not only did you get us complimentary tickets but we were upgraded to the hospitality package and were looked after extremely well by the lovely staff in the Isla Gladstone Suite. We had a lovely three course meal and complimentary drink before the kick off. Lewis and my Husband, Simon, also got to meet the legendary Liverpool Player, Terry McDermott and both had autographs and photos taken.

Once again Thank you so much for making Lewis’s dream come true to visit and watch a game at his favourite club. The score wasn’t what he was hoping for but the day was magical in itself.
