The final home league match of the season for Peterborough United was against Port Vale and we were privileged to be asked to share sponsorship of the game with our friends from Edmundson Electrical, as well as providing a mascot for the day…it proved to be a very busy day!
We were joined by our friends from the brilliant charity Little Miracles, who were recently featured on tv with Nick Knowles, on DIY SOS. Founder of the charity, Michelle King, brought her family, as well as two others, along to the sponsors lounge, where we joined them for a slap up meal. A tour of the stadium followed, before the families went on to the pitch ahead of the game to have their picture taken with officials and captains and, more importantly, Peter Burrow.
Also joining us on the day was Owen, who had been nominated for his mascot experience by his teachers at City of Peterborough Academy. The school had organised some fundraising events for us during the year and we decided to thank them for their efforts by offering them a mascot place, which they offered as an End of Year prize to their pupils.
It was another great Free Kicks day and a lovely way to end another season of memorable Kicks all round the country. We would like to thank all at London Road for their ongoing hospitality and support.
