We had two mascots for Peterborough United’s home game with Preston North End, brothers Louis and Isaac, who were nominated by Terry Harris at Peterborough Downs Syndrome Group. The boys came along with mum and dad, Julia and Joe, for their day out at London Road.
Both were very excited to meet the players in the dressing room, enjoyed the ground tour and meeting Peter Burrow and Miss Posh!
The Kicks were held in memory of Bev Booth, the mum of one of our regular fundraisers, Matt, who sadly passed away earlier this year. Part of the proceeds from the collection at Bev’s funeral were donated to Free Kicks and it was the family’s wish to use the money to give a local Downs sufferer a day to remember.
Thanks to all at PUFC for their support, to John, Matt and Tim Booth for their generous donations and Terry for nominating the boys.
