Luke’s Kick – Luton Town v Nuneaton Town

As part of Non League Day in October we organised three Kicks, the second one we can report on was at Kenilworth Road, home of Luton Town for their match with Nuneaton Town.

Luke (pictured on the right below), who lives in Luton, was our mascot after being nominated by Family Action Luton through our association with the fantastic Happy Days charity. He came along on the day with members of his family to meet up with our friend and representative at Luton, Chris Sharpe, who kindly agreed to host the Kick for us.

Luke was presented with a new Hatters kit and had the opportunity to tour the ground and have a kick about on the pitch, as well as a chance to visit the dressing room to meet the players. He even got to go in to the manager’s office to catch up with Luton boss Paul Buckle prior to the game.

The match finished 2-0 to Luton which rounded off a brilliant day for Luke and his family.

Special thanks to Ryan Sinclair from Happy Days, all at Luton Town, especially Esther Soloman and, of course, Chris Sharpe for giving up his time to meet Luke.
