Luke’s Kick – Peterborough United v Burnley

Our mascot for the Championship match between Peterborough United and Burnley was Luke from Yaxley. Luke was nominated by Gill Green, who is his escort on his daily trip to school in Huntingdon.

We met Luke and his family in the David Seaman Suite at London Road, where he had already changed into his new Posh kit. We then visited the dressing room where Luke got autographs and had pictures with the players, including favourite player George Boyd…an added bonus as George had been expected to leave just a couple of days previously!

After the tour of the ground, including visits to the boardroom, player’s gym and executive boxes, Luke was ready to take his part in a training session on the pitch, but not before meeting Clem from the Football League Show in the tunnel area.

Luke came out of the tunnel along side George Boyd, before taking his seat to watch the teams battle out a 2-2 draw.

Once again thank you to everybody at Peterborough United for their hospitality and Gill Green for nominating Luke for his day.
