Molly, Ben and Toby’s Kick – Manchester City v Stoke City

For our first ever Kick at Manchester City, Molly and her 2 brothers, nominated by mum, Julia, went along to the Etihad for the game with Stoke City. Here is what Julia told us about the fantastic day they had:

“Hi Steve and Sam
Thank you so much for arranging this fabulous day out at the Etihad on 22nd Feb 2014 we all had such a great time we can’t thank you all enough. Being Man City fans and going on a stadium tour Molly (young carer to her 2 disabled brothers Ben and Toby) wanted to meet the players. After contacting free kicks and a lot of arranging with the Etihad her wish was granted.

On the day we were spoilt, we were on their blue carpet waiting for the players to arrive…wow, how amazing was that and I can’t put it into words! To top it off, Molly managed to get a few autographs on her shirt.

We then went to the players lounge for drinks, food and chill out before going to pitch side for mascot photos.

Next was the funny bit which added to the adventure…trying to get to our seats as the lift was broken but, after touring the whole stadium executive and chairman lounges etc., we finally got there just in time for the match.

Every member of staff was so helpful and lovely and made the day so special. Memories for life, we haven’t stopped talking about it since leaving. Molly enjoyed seeing the players off the bus on the blue carpet. Toby fell in love with Moonbeam, think if he had the chance he would have brought her home. Ben enjoyed the mascots but especially watching the match and he didn’t stop giggling all the way through.

Thank you again for the hospitality we received from the Etihad, and thank you Free Kicks and all the fundraising to make this day possible”.

Huge thanks to all at Manchester City for looking after the whole family so well and providing the day out free of charge.
