Muhammed Tahir and Jameel’s Kicks – Peterborough United v Nottingham Forest

Muhammed Tahir was nominated by our friends at Shine Charity to be mascot for the day and we met him in the reception at the ground, where he was given his new Posh kit, before heading off on the tour of the ground and into the dressing rooms to meet the players. Our newest ambassador Bobby Olejnik popped down to pitch side to say hello and pose for a picture, before he had to go into the team meeting.
During the tour Muhammed Tahir changed his mind about taking part in the kickabout and leading the team out of the tunnel, so we asked Jameel if he wanted to take his place. He jumped at the chance and went on to have a coaching session with mascot co-ordinators, Simon and Gavin, as well as the other mascots. He then went down the tunnel before re-emerging with Lee Tomlin to join in the fair play handshake and then taking his seat to watch the game, which ended in a 1-0 win for the visitors.
Thank you to all at Peterborough United for their hospitality and Andrew Ellis at Shine for nominating Muhammed Tahir for his day out.
