Nathan’s Kick – Wolverhampton Wanderers v Peterborough United

Nathan was our mascot at the match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Peterborough United, he was nominated by Acorns Hospice on behalf of his brother, who is a patient there. We work extensively with the hospice to provide Kicks around the Midlands.

Nathan came along with his family to Molineux and had a fantastic time meeting the players in the dressing room and leading them out on to the pitch. He is a very tall lad for his age, was taller than all the other mascots on the day…and even some of the players!

Thank you to all at Wolves for their brilliant hospitality and our friends at Acorns for nominating him.

One Response to Nathan’s Kick – Wolverhampton Wanderers v Peterborough United

  1. Nathan Marrey says:

Absolutely brilliant day, it was an experience i will never forget, a few highlights from the day were that when i stood next to bakary sako, he said “f***ing hell he’s taller than me”.
that fact that i wasn’t aloud to stand next to rickets, golbourne, sako, Edwards, Jacobs, price, McDonald and dicko as i was too tall, which i thought was just brilliant.
being given the nickename ‘big guy’ by some of the players in the dressing room, and the fact that about a few weeks later away at Leyton orient carl ikeme remembered me after the game outside of the London clubs ground calling me ‘big man’

and who can forget the response from social media. (although the fact that i GOT TO WALK ON THE PITCH WITH ALL THE PLAYERS overshadowed the social media side of things.)
it was an ultimate boy hood dream of mine and i felt very proud representing my brother.

once again thank you for the absolutely brilliant experience
