Robert’s Kick – Reading v Middlesbrough

As well as being at London Road on Saturday, we also had a Kick at the Madjeski Stadium in Reading. Robert was nominated by a good friend of Free Kicks, Victor Schooling.

As we can’t be in two places at once, we will leave it to Robert and his Mum to tell everybody about their day as Reading beat Middlesbrough 5-2!

Robert’s Mum, Elly told us:

“Robert had a fabulous day, from the behind the scenes walk through the stadium, meeting the players and getting their photographs and signatures, the pre-match warm up & training session on the pitch (he was really listening to the advice, doing what they asked of him), and running out on the pitch, shaking hands with all the opposition, and having his photo centre circle.  Then to top it all Reading played brilliantly winning 5-2.  It will be a day none of us will forget.”

And Robert said:

“I couldn’t have enjoyed the day better (especially the score), I got all the signatures I wanted, and the whole day just seemed to flow perfectly.”

Many thanks Gill Jacob and everyone at Reading FC for their hospitality and welcoming the Embersons for Robert’s big day, also thanks to Victor for nominating and going along to the game to meet and greet Robert and his family.
