For the third time this season we sponsored a game at Peterborough United and, as with the other games, we invited our friends at Peterborough Young Carers to bring along eight children to enjoy hospitality in the Sponsor’s Lounge. As well as the young carers we also took 5 year old Ryan along to the game; we were made aware of Ryan when his Uncle contacted the football club asking if he could visit.
Ryan is suffering from a rare form of cancer and has had a really rough time over the last couple of months. We arranged for Ryan and his family to be picked up in luxury, thanks to Elton Private Hire, and chauffeured directly to the front door of London Road!
All of our guests enjoyed the tour of the ground, including meeting the players, before sitting down for a fantastic carvery meal. Ryan was kindly allowed to carry the matchball out by the referee and took part in the pre match handshakes.
Despite the result being a disappointing home defeat, everybody had a great time and were excited to meet man of the match Lee Tomlin at the end of the game.
Thanks again to all at Peterborough United for a fantastic day!
