Ryland was nominated by Sally Stanfield at Young Carer’s Action in Boston, Sally told us: “Ryland is a young carer for his brother. He is a lifelong POSH fan and attends every home match with his dad. He has been amazingly supportive for his parents and brother and does not feel put upon in any way. He is truly an inspirational young man”
He came along with his mum, dad and auntie and started their day with a tour of the stadium including a visit to the dressing room to meet the players. It was a busy day behind the scenes at London Road so, by the time the tour was finished, there was just time for a quick drink before heading out to the pitch for a training session with the other mascots. Then it was back down the tunnel and a big decision to choose which player to come out onto the pitch with. Ryland chose Posh centre back Gabriel Zakuani for his big moment in front of the 11,000 crowd, before taking his seats with his family to watch as Forest ran out 1-0 winners.
We would like to thank Sally for nominating Ryland and also Peterborough United for their hospitality.
