We had a special treat for huge Posh fan, Sam, at the Championship match with Watford at London Road. We heard about Sam through his carer, Michael Owens, and decided he would love a VIP day out supporting his beloved team.
Sam came along with his uncle, Lawrence, and their carers, Michael and Shaun, and we met them in reception at London Road. Their day started with a surprise visit to meet the players in the dressing room, where Sam had pictures taken with them and got his programme signed.
We then visited the referee’s room before going pitch side for pictures on the manager’s seats and then walked round the hallowed turf to the family stand for photo opportunities with the display of Posh kits through the years. In a break from our usual Posh routine, upon reaching the Noel Cantwell Suite we had arranged for Sam and his guests to have a slap up meal (we usually have to walk straight past the very tempting food on the tour). The food was fantastic and once we had eaten it was time for kick off and we took our seats outside the Suite to watch as the Posh beat the promotion contenders 3-2!
A brilliant day and we were, as ever, looked after fantastically by the hospitality team at Posh.
