We returned to Watford twice in December to continue working with the town’s branch of Mencap. Our first two recipients of Kicks were Sian and Stuart who were mascots for the Championship game against Leeds United.
They both had a fantastic day, receiving a new kit and getting to visit the players in the dressing room, as well as manager Sean Dyche in his office before the game. They then walked out on to the pitch with their favourite players and took their seats to watch the 1-1 draw.
We received this message from Stuart’s dad Martin:
“This is to thank you for organising an absolutely fabulous experience
for our son Stuart who was a Watford mascot for their home game with
Leeds on December 10th.
The club were superb and Stuart thoroughly enjoyed meeting the
players, playing “kick ball” on the pitch and he certainly made the
most out of leading the team out (he is quite a character and he was
instantly at home waving away to the crowd).
It was a fantastic opportunity and we would like to express our gratitude for the work you have done to make this possible, you made Stuart very, very happy and proud that day.
Thank you once again.”
