St Andrew’s, home of Birmingham City, was our destination on the first weekend of September and we had 2 sets of guests at the game with Peterborough United.
Tiarney was nominated by Acorns Hospice in Birmingham to have the special treat of hospitality at the match and she came along with dad Gregg and her carers as well as David Black and his guests from Acorns. They were all hosted in the luxurious Jasper Carrot Suite at the club, where they had a slap up meal and fantastic views of the ground. After the meal Birmingham City were kind enough to allow the party to watch the game from am empty executive box, although Tiarney decided she wanted to watch the second half from outside, to soak up the atmosphere.
After the game both man of the match Paul Caddis and Peterborough director of football and ex Blues manager, Barry Fry came up to the suite and Tiarney was first to be introduced to them and both signed autographs for her.
By all accounts everybody had a fantastic day, which was topped off with a win for the home team!
Thank you to David Black, Diane Thomas and all at Acorns for nominating Tiarney and everybody at Birmingham City for their fantastic hospitality.
