Towards the end of the season we went back to one of our favourite and most visited clubs, Huddersfield Town. Tom was nominated by Forget Me Not Hospice in the town to be mascot for the day.
As we couldn’t attend ourselves Tom’s dad, Chris tells us about the day:
We met Karen from HTFC at the player’s entrance where Tom received his new HTFC kit. First it was off to the dressing room to meet the players, for pictures and autographs. After that it was off to the fantastic media stand where we joined the rest of the family for a drink. Then it was time for Tom to have a quick kickabout on the pitch and more photo opportunities, before heading back down the tunnel ahead of kick off. After leading the players out and taking part in the fairplay handshake Tom went back to his seat in the stand with his dad and watched Huddersfield beat Scunthorpe in an exciting game. The victory confirmed their place in the division play offs. After the game it was back to the lounge in the fantastic media stand to join the rest of the family and a further opportunity to meet the players including HTFC’s goalscorer Jordan Rhodes. Many thanks to all at HTFC, Free Kicks Foundation and Forget Me Not Trust for giving Tom a special day.
We look forward to going back to Huddersfield next season, hopefully with Posh! Thanks to Karen and everybody for their fantastic help for the fourth consecutive season.
