For our final Kicks at London Road of the 2015/16 season, we invited two separate families along, with a total of three mascots.
William and Joshua were nominated by the team at Sue Ryder Bereavement Care and were accompanied by their mum, dad and other family members. The third mascot was Jayden and we offered him the opportunity after learning he has had a tough couple of years health wise.
All three boys were greeted by mascot coordinators, Simon and Gav, who looked after them while they took part in the activities. After receiving their new Posh kits, everyone went to the dressing room to meet the players; this was followed by a tour round the ground to look behind the scenes.
A skills coaching session was next before all of the day’s mascots lined up with the team and walked out onto the pitch prior to kick off.
Joshua, William and Jayden then returned to their seats to watch the game, a resounding 5-1 victory to the Posh, which saw Blackpool relegated to League Two.
Our thaks go to Jo Ruff from Sue Ryder and all at Peterborough United, for helping us arrange another season of successful Kicks at London Road.
