This year’s cycling fundraiser begins on 28th May, following the huge success of POSH2Paris, with the POSH2Brussels cycle ride.
20 cyclists are pedalling 300 miles from London Road to Brussels to raise money for the Peterborough based charity.
Marc Humphries, one of the riders who organised the ride said:
“Last year the ride was hard work but it was so enjoyable and because we raised more than double what we hoped for (£11,500) I just had to do it all over again!”
“We leave London Road on the 28th of May at 9:00am so it would be great if POSH fans could come and cheer us off on the first of 4 days riding.”
“It’s taken quite a bit or organising again but I’ve we have had some great support from the other riders getting posters printed, bike clothing and parts discounted, and building up water and energy gel supplies etc”
We are very grateful to all the Marc and the other riders for giving up their spare time, not only to take part in the ride, but also for the huge amount of organisation and training to prepare for another epic trip! We never cease to be amazed by the things people will do to raise money for Free Kicks! Last year POSH2Paris was our biggest ever fundraiser so if we achieve anything like that amount again it would be fantastic!
