Posh 2 Paris Cycle Ride – Tomorrow!

On Sunday 29th April a group of Posh fans will set off on an epic trip to Paris…on their bikes! The team, led by Marc Humphries, set off from London Road and will arrive in the French capital on Wednesday 2nd May.

Day one will be the longest of the four days, covering the 88 miles from Peterborough to London Docklands. On the Monday, when the group travel from London to Brighton, they will be joined by a team from Fuller’s Brewery who are also providing refreshments at a couple of their pubs en route throughout the 73 mile journey. Day 3 involves a short ride of 11 miles from Brighton to Newhaven before hopping on the ferry for a four hour trip across to Dieppe, then continuing by cycling for a further 49 miles to Gournay En Bray . Then finally on Wednesday it will be a 66 mile slog to finish in the centre of Paris!

The team travelling from Peterborough are: Marc Humphries, Chris Sharpe, Chris Slade, Katie Morris, Mick Pallett, Matt Booth, Martin Mason, John Pilgrim and David Carter. Joining them for the whole route from London to Paris will be Fuller’s employees Nick Torrence-Jones (manager of Bear & Swan in Chew Magna, Somerset) and Andrew Archer (manager of Red Herring Inn, London), while there will be an additional 19 Fuller’s riders travelling down to Brighton.
