We are delighted to announce that Free Kicks Foundation have appointed some very special ambassadors to help us promote our name in the world of football.
Posh team mates Aaron Mclean, Joe Lewis, Charlie Lee and George Boyd, have been chosen to carry out the role, similar to that of a patron, after showing consistent support for the charity since we started three years ago. The four players will act as role-models for Free Kicks, their names will be included on our literature and all have agreed to continue as ambassadors even if they move on to other clubs.
Free Kicks founder Steve Thorpe said “The four lads have always been so willing to help us out by giving us their time or donating items for us to raffle or auction. However, most valuable of all to us has been the time they have spent meeting the children we take to be mascots at Posh. They are never too busy to stop for a chat, sign autographs and pose for pictures with them…these moments usually prove to be the highlight of the day for these children. With Aaron, Charlie, Joe and George onboard we hope to use their names and contacts to increase our profile and support across the country.”
Posh goalkeeper Joe Lewis said ” I was honoured to be asked to become an ambassador for the Free Kicks Foundation. The players regularly see the children that the charity brings to the club for days out and also the great work the team do. I am delighted to help raise Free Kicks’ profile in anyway I can.”
