Raise money for Free Kicks at 5 mile sponsored walk in Deeping

Our friends from Discover Volunteering are holding a sponsored walk on Sunday October 6th, everybody is invited and can raise money for any charity of your choice. If you would like to raise money for us that would be fantastic!

.

Details below

The sponsored walk is Sunday 6th October starting and ending at Eventus in Market Deeping: Here is a link to where we are based: http://microsites.lincolnshire.gov.uk/eventus/

We have a number of individuals, local businesses and charities taking part. We start at 10am and each team will head off at roughly 5 minute intervals on our 5 miles of fun, which will have clues along the way and a special ‘matchbox’ challenge! Once everyone returns there will be a raffle and a chance to chat to others. We will also do press coverage of the event for everyone involved. Our aim is to end by 2pm. There is also ample car parking space at our offices.

There is a small charge per entrant to cover our costs for the event, but as a not for profit company, supporting charities we do not aim to make any money from the event. The charge is £5 per person!! How you pay is up to you and if the walkers wanted to pay the fee out of the sponsorship money they may. All money raised through sponsorship will go to the charity of your choice

Should you wish to enter more than 1 team feel free! All we ask is that if there is anyone under 16 that there is an adult in the team for health and safety reasons. The walk is mainly on hard ground through Market Deeping, with one field on the route back – if the weather hasn’t been kind we can avoid the field and use a path instead, so the route is perfectly safe – we will obviously give you all a map on the day!!

Look forward to welcoming everyone to the event and if there is anything else you would like to know please drop Chris a line on chris.bushby@discovervolunteering.org
