We received the following email from Stephen Morgan at Torfaen County Borough Council, thanking Free Kicks for donating two Cardiff City season tickets for young people in the area to use:
“I cannot thank you all enough for your support this year, the experiences of the young people at the games all year have been there for all us support staff to see, including:
A terminally father able to take his son who was struggling to deal with his father’s illness, a young unaccompanied asylum seeker from Iran who experienced football for the first time and who now calls himself a Bluebird, numerous young people who have attended not only their first football match but, for most, their first experience of a night out in the City (this is hard to comprehend but, when you see where these kids come from, you would be amazed) and a young person and his dad who have used the tickets as reward for the son for returning to education and re-engaging with support.
Every single ticket was used every match.
Life changing, thanks to you guys at Free Kicks and Barrie at Cardiff City!”
We would also like to thank Cardiff City and are looking forward to repeating the gesture in the Premier League next season!
